Information
Platia Ammos is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful beaches in our Municipality. Enticing view from above, as we descend the road to meet it. Huge plane trees on the beach with black and white pebbles, cool us down at noon and in the afternoon. Its length reaches 1 km and its width is 700 meters, from where it got its name Platia Ammos!
Half of the beach is organized and the other for free, alternative travelers. The amazing Greek light and the unique blue of the Aegean will enchant us and will compensate us for our choice.
A stop and a tour of the Byzantine monument at the beginning of the road before going down to the beach, if we love archaeological sites, will make us realize why Kissavos is called the “mountain of the cells” and a little further up, a short walk to the point of the castle and the Byzantine bridge will make us dream of another era.
Access
Leaving Kokkino Nero towards the North, on our right, very close, we come across the Byzantine monument. Right there, there is a narrow 500-meter road that ends at the beach. There is a parking lot.
