The second southernmost beach of our Municipality.
Its first image is captivating and impressive! A natural sculpture emerges from the sea, the Monopetro or Sourlegko rock, which defines the beach along with the Sklithro mines that create an eerie image, hiding myths and stories from the past in its galleries.
It is the location that is always mentioned in mythology that the naval battle of Salamis was essentially won here because Xerxes anchored his fleet initially here. In the evening, an easterly wind blew that destroyed half of it and he arrived in Salamis weakened. The development is known as the victory of Greece against the Persians.
The mine was founded for the extraction of talc by a German company in 1920 and operated until approximately 1950. Talc is an inert material, so ingestion or contact with the skin does not pose a problem.
A relic of another era, the wreck of a wooden German ship that carried gold. At a depth of 2-3 meters, depending on the currents, it is sometimes even visible from the surface of the sea.
The beach is not suitable for relaxing swimming due to its texture, but it is an ideal location for snorkeling and observing the seabed.
Access
Difficult route to date with the dirt road becoming narrow and difficult due to the vegetation that is even in the middle of the road!
However, works have begun and are in progress for a road connection with asphalt.
From Agiokambos, a distance of approximately 15 km. We follow a southerly direction towards Sklithros, after Rakopotamos we come across signs for Isiomata and Keramidi, we go left on the dirt road and after 6 km we turn left again with a sign for the beach.

It is not an organized beach, we take care of our supplies, water, hat, fruit, umbrella.
