Information
One of the most beautiful coasts in the area with four beaches. In previous years it was considered a nudist beach. Today nudists are limited to the third and southern beach of the coast only, while the two middle ones have become more cosmopolitan.
These two beaches are separated by a rock whose vegetation really touches the sea, with shadows that play with the light, throughout the day in the turquoise waters. The depth of the water gradually increases and the golden sand creates an exotic image.
The northern beach also ends at the Rakopotamos gorge, which gave it its name, with continuous water most months.
On the same side, if we want to continue our exploration of this place with its natural beauty and if we have time, through the water or over the rocks we will find the fourth beach, more private and lonely for a swim away from prying eyes!
Access
Rakopotamos beach is located 8 km from Agiokampos with an asphalt road. We follow the route indicated by the road signs to Sklithro, we cross the Papakosta coast, the bridge and we reach the settlement (a few houses on the road). On our right we will find a parking space
To the beach we will take the cement road or the path through the settlement.
Services
The smells will lead us, depending on our preference, to the tavern for fresh fish or meat, and then we can enjoy coffee or our aperitif on the rocks. It has three dining areas and an organized beach.
Activities
